- For me poetry is always something to be seen. When I read a poem I look at it. The leer (reading) will always be there for just a micromoment before anything else and thus the leer determines what I read and get from the poem. The leer has all the authority over the physically stagnant poem on a paper… but a poem doesn’t have to be stagnant, it can dissapear and reappear, it can recur and unravel and it just may hide from the leer in it’s self-defined period of time. The poem is off the paper! Now it’s on a screen…
When the text moves on a screen, when a letter is fallen from the word, when the word dissapears beyond the eyes… when the text turns around, goes forward, moves linearly and non- linearly… when time and space are physical, exploreable and visible elements in the poem itself we speak of videopoetry. read more / lue lisää
